This thesis will be done at our office in Solna, Stockholm
High level description
Nowadays, the research about this concept is starting to deepen into the core control system of the vehicle instead of just auxiliary functions. With more information from a variety of resources in the whole traffic system, vehicle autonomous systems have a better understanding of the current road situations, thus making the optimal decisions. Furthermore, coordination between different vehicles also adds options for decision-making systems, especially in accident prevention.
Project Description
You will explore the current research results in active vehicle accident prevention, with or without using the concept of IoV. You will have the chance to choose one specific accident scenario (for example: rear-end collision) and do the following:
- Accident analysis and strategy design.
- Vehicle dynamic modelling and simulation using your strategy.
- Results analysis and comparison.
Who are we looking for?
You, as a Master student, should have:
- Experience in dynamic modeling in common tools, e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, CarSim, etc.
- Some knowledge of vehicle system, e.g., bicycle model, tire pneumatic trail, etc.
- Knowledge about active safety and crash prevention is a plus.
Purpose
To find or optimize a practical dynamic control strategy for accident prevention, using the concept of Internet of Vehicles.
