At Knightec, we are firm believers in knowledge sharing

One way of acquiring external knowledge is to offer students the opportunity to conduct their thesis projects for Knightec. Alex Darborg and Terje Engelbertsen have suggested different thesis opportunities for students within Data Science and Computer Engineering.

A selection of the opportunities for spring 2022 includes Autonomous drone controlled in real-time, Autonomous driving in real-time, Tracking number of office workers in real-time and Bicycle priority.

“I got the opportunity to sign a full-time contract with Knightec after completing my Master thesis project within Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for Knightec. That was a perfect way for me to get to know the company, some of the employees and get a sense of the company culture before finishing my studies, which made applying to Knightec afterward very easy. At the same time, it was an opportunity for Knightec to get to know me and could use the period as a long job interview”, says Alex.

Terje thinks that it is an excellent opportunity to give students a chance to work on exciting and challenging projects. Also, it is a chance for us to see what the students can bring to the table regarding new technologies and ideas. This is just as important as the mentoring part of being innovative, and forward-leaning is becoming more critical.
