Electrification steps forward

// news

The industry of the future is smart, fossil-free and electrically powered. Electrification and digitalization are and have been the common thread behind many innovations that have changed our lives and society for the better. All indications are that development will continue just like that; not least given the situation the world is in right now. Knightec with its senior technical profile invests to meet the day and the needs of the future.

– Knightec wants to be able to offer a complete solution for our clients where we have the opportunity to cover all parts of the development, says Mats Hansson, senior consultant in electronics at Knightec. Mats has a solid knowledge of electronics construction and during his more than twenty-five years in the industry, he has worked with several of Sweden's largest Telecom and Life Science companies. 12 years ago, he joined Knightec and has over the years worked with companies such as Cytiva, St Jude Medical, and Getinge.

Life Science as an industry is hotter than ever, and large investments are being made in several larger companies, which creates a great need for qualified knowledge in a wide range. The fact that Knightec wants to invest to meet the need is spot on, Mats feels.

– We at Knightec see great opportunities to grow in the electronics area of expertise, and in industries such as Life Science and electrification of vehicles. In the coming decades, we will see a sharp increase in the production and delivery of renewable electricity, electrical vehicles, and new medical devices. This requires new technical innovations and extensive implementation of digital solutions, and we at Knightec will be a part of that journey, says Mats.

Knightec already has a relatively large team working in digitalization and automation. But the plan and vision are to expand even further in these areas.
– We work towards being a given player in the future electricity environment. Electrification, digitalization, and automation are three important factors in streamlining and enabling the transition to a sustainable future, Mats concludes.
