Filip Magnuson's journey as a Project Manager at Knightec highlights a unique blend of innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. Returning to Knightec in 2020, his role is pivotal in shaping a future where engaging projects, like collaborating with Volvo, redefine industry standards.
What attracted you to Knightec?
I returned to Knightec as a so-called boomerang employee. My first period of employment at Knightec spanned from 2015 to 2017, and I then returned to the company in 2020. My decision to return was based on the realization that the grass was not greener on the other side. And that Knightec’s innovation power and values are hard to find anywhere else.
Can you describe the most unique or exciting part of working at Knightec?
Without a doubt, it’s the people who make up the company’s core. Having a good community and engagement in work tasks is of utmost importance to me, and this is something we prioritize at Knightec. And most importantly, we have fun at work!
How do Knightec’s culture and values resonate with you?
Knightec’s values focus on the development of employees, integrity, professionalism, and a positive view of humanity. These values are central to the company’s success and shape its culture and working methods.
How has Knightec supported your career development?
At Knightec, we emphasize the crucial role of clear and precise communication with our leaders. We aim to define our objectives with crystal clarity and then collaboratively craft a plan to achieve these goals together. In my case, the drive to explore and develop new technology took me into the autonomous industry.
Can you share something about your job at Knightec that you are proud of, e.g., a challenge or project you’ve been working on?
I’m proud of our work with Volvo, where we turn things upside down and shake up an industry that has previously been quite controversial. Unfortunately, my lips are sealed due to our NDAs at Knightec, so I can’t reveal too much.
What do you see for the future?
Looking ahead, Knightec positions itself at the forefront of future-critical areas, anticipating a surge in innovation. This evolution will necessitate a shift towards circular products designed to be delivered as services, complete with regular updates. In a world increasingly valuing sustainability, the appeal of products that are not only eco-friendly but also continuously updated is undeniable. An evolution in which both Knightec and my role will play a crucial role.
