I pursued a bachelor’s degree in digital media production at Umeå University. Subsequently, I furthered my education by enrolling in a Master’s program in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience.

It was a perfect opportunity to gain firsthand experience working within the company. I aimed to deepen my understanding of the company’s operations and organizational culture.

The Thesis Opportunity facilitated my transition from academia to a professional setting. While working on my master’s thesis, I had the invaluable opportunity to forge connections with individuals who are now my colleagues.

One notable instance was when I submitted my thesis suggestions, which ultimately became the focal point of my thesis. I greatly appreciated my supervisor and other colleagues’ high engagement throughout the process.

It was remarkably smooth! The existing connections I had forged during the master thesis cleared any usual nervousness I might have experienced in such a transition.

I would characterize the work culture at Knightec, particularly for junior consultants, as a secure and welcoming space. The atmosphere is marked by humility, creating a culture where one feels comfortable posing questions. I enjoy the culture as it provides opportunities for personal development in various fields aligned with one’s interests.
Can you share an experience highlighting Knightec’s teamwork and collaboration approach?
One gratifying experience in 2023 that showcased Knightec’s dedication to teamwork and collaboration was the workshop held in Örnskoldsvik. The event brought together nearly 750 Knightec employees, and for a few hours, we were organized into groups to engage in a design thinking exercise to generate innovative solutions for a company challenge.
In what ways has Knightec supported your professional growth and development during your first year?
During my first year at Knightec, the company has enhanced my professional growth and development. They have given me the time and resources to strengthen my proficiency in tools I aimed to improve, including Figma, Vizcom, Visual Studio, and more.
Are there specific skills or areas of knowledge you’ve developed since joining Knightec?
One notable facet of my development has been the augmentation of my knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI). The exposure to user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design has been instrumental in refining my proficiency. Working on real-world projects has allowed me to implement design principles, understand user behavior, and contribute to creating intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces. The collaborative environment at Knightec has been particularly conducive to learning, with seasoned professionals readily sharing insights and best practices.
In addition to technical skills, my experience as a consultant has been a significant growth area. My journey at Knightec has been marked by a continuous evolution of skills and knowledge, supported by the company’s commitment to fostering a culture of learning and growth.

The most rewarding aspect of my journey at Knightec has been the dynamic and collaborative environment that raises constant learning and growth. I have had the privilege of working with a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals who share their expertise generously and encourage innovation and creativity. This supportive atmosphere has allowed me to contribute meaningfully to projects and initiatives, seeing the tangible impact of our collective efforts. The company’s commitment to personal and professional development has provided me with various opportunities to expand my skill set. From participating in workshops and training programs to engaging in challenging projects, every experience has been a stepping stone towards my individual growth.
How has your role as a junior consultant impacted your personal and professional perspective?
On a professional level, the diverse and challenging projects I’ve been involved in have provided invaluable hands-on experience. Navigating through client interactions, problem-solving, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes has enhanced my skills and broadened my understanding of the consultancy domain. On a personal level, the role has instilled a sense of adaptability and resilience. Each project brings unique challenges, requiring me to adapt to new environments and industries quickly.
