Knightec's warm culture stands out

// news

Trust, cooperation and consideration for each other are all ingredients for a thriving employee culture; just ask Mari Shöder, nominated for HR Director of the Year 2022.

Knightec aims to improve people's lives through new optimized solutions. Mari Schäder is the company's HR manager, attracting engineers, designers and developers worldwide. The employees, the culture, the company's long-term commitment and high ambition are all factors that contribute to her decision to continue adding positive change.
- During my time, I have experienced the growth of our culture; it's been fun and still is, she says.

Long-term work
Mari, who has been part of Knightec since 2007, has been nominated for HR Director of the Year. The long-term perspective and the strong culture play a key role in her and the company's work.
- Our ambition and perseverance in what we achieve together to play a significant role in what we do. We have a vision that we believe in and that we renew to be constantly up to date. One of Maris and the company's goals is to make employees their best selves.
- We start with the employees and build the organization from within, where all employees must feel they want and can take responsibility for their tasks and development. Thus, they affect the company's growth, she says.

Culture makes a difference
Employees and leaders work together for a common Knightec while caring for each other.
- The culture we have built and are constantly developing is very important. We talk a lot about how we cooperate and treat each other. We often hear that consultants from Knightec stand out because we are a little more caring, committed and make a difference through our way of being, says Mari and continues:
- There is a warmth in the company and a concern for the individual. We believe in a Knightec and build teams based on skills, not geography, and only have fixed salaries because we think it benefits teamwork.

Broadens its offer
Knightec has worked with upper secondary schools since 2008 and is now scaling up its involvement through a collaboration with Granitor and Scania.
- It's enjoyable. We can reach even more ninth-graders from challenged areas and inspire them in various technological aspects. We learn a lot at the same time as we broaden our recruitment base, says Mari and continues:
- We have realized that we at Knightec do things for real. Through our school collaborations, we build bridges between school and business and broaden young people's frames of reference. And last winter we sent a transport with supplies to Ukraine, on the initiative of our employees. Knightec is growing steadily and today has just over 850 employees. A little more than a year ago, the digital agency Daresay was acquired to broaden the offer.
- We have deep industry knowledge and expertise in digitization, and now we are building on expert knowledge in the user experience. It becomes attractive to our customers and allows us to support them in their digital transformations.
