With Ratos joining the Knightec journey as a new partner, we find out what it means for Knightec, its clients, coworkers and the market, from CEO Dimitris Gioulekas.
A bright future, built on an impressive past
Knightec is a fast-growing company. In the past five years, turnover has more than doubled to close to SEK 1 billion, new offices have been opened, new product offerings have been developed, and many new clients have been onboarded. But that’s the past, and although very impressive, it’s nothing compared to what the future holds.
“We have ambitious goals at Knightec, that’s what got us to the branch-leading position we’re in today. But I’m a strong believer in reinvention. Finding new ways to be the best version of yourself, whether it’s as a person or as a company. With that said you have to be in a strong position with a great foundation to build on, which is where we’re at now. And I’m really happy to be taking the next steps in our journey together with our new partner Ratos. They will challenge us in new ways and bring a wealth of experience from international business development.”
Continuously adding value
Knightec’s search for a new partner began late last year in line with the development of the company’s 2030 strategy and vision. This will see the company grow its market share domestically and internationally as the business expands through value-driven services for a broad, trusting and growing client base. As a company working at the intersection of products and digital, Knightec helps businesses navigate the transition to digital. This is a fast-growing market as many companies must accelerate their transformation to remain relevant and thrive.
Knightec work on a strategic and operative level with clients. They are typically involved in the decision-making processes that define product roadmaps, which they then support by developing game-changing, user-centric solutions. This covers everything from developing circular strategies to designing and building apps, to managing product IT security. But it’s not just the relationships with clients that make Knightec stand out but also their commitment to society. For the past 12 years, Knightec has run a program to support school students in underprivileged areas and, following the invasion of Ukraine, the company was quick to gather friends, colleagues and customers and send multiple lorries full of aid.
A new investment partner
Ratos is a listed company on the Stockholm stock exchange with a proud history. What began as a steel wholesaler that supplied a lot of the steel used to build Sweden’s factories, buildings, and bridges, is now a business group specializing in taking great entrepreneurial companies to the next level. Ratos is ideally placed to support Knigtec with its 2030 vision.
“When looking for a partner we wanted to find a company that understood the consulting business, that appreciated our strong company culture, and that had the financial and operative capabilities to empower our growth. Ratos is that company. They can help us develop our business models and tailor them for a broader marketplace. Their contacts and partners will become our contacts and partners. Just like us, they are a strong believer in people and achieving results together, while transforming and accelerating business.”
“It’s an exciting time to be at Knightec. We have clearly defined long-term goals and the ideal partner to help us get there. Ultimately our clients, employees and the market will benefit from this new partnership.”
Knightec and Ratos officially became partners on 16/06/22.
